Chronicles of Christ

An eight-week study tour. We open the Bible outside — beaches, rivers, hills — and learn the way the first disciples did: together.

Next intake · 10 March – 5 May · Summer into autumn

A minute at base

The valley, the coast, and Campbell Park.

A short film of base camp and the country around it. It closes on John 17.

Who we are

Calvary Bible Institute New Zealand is in the South Island, with base camp at Campbell Park Estate in the Waitaki Valley.

Narnia country - not far from the landscapes of The Lord of the Rings. The tour is not a film holiday. The land is where we study, eat, and walk with one another.

  1. 01

    Teaching

Chronicles of Christ is an eight-week study tour. We explore the South Island while opening the Bible and walking through the life of Jesus and His disciples.

  2. 02

    Study and sites

This is a Bible teaching site that likes to be outside. We dig into the Gospel together, on beaches, rivers and in the hills. Fresh air is the classroom.

  3. 03

    Discipleship

Jesus and the twelve sat, walked, ate, laughed, and they ministered to people along the way. We will do the same. Life together is the method, not an extra.

A hillside class in rows of desks, with the question of why we teach that way

Jesus didn’t make disciples this way. Why do we?

They sat, walked, ate, laughed. They ministered to people as they went. One week of the eight is a community sports outreach on base. The rest of the time we stay flexible. The week is Spirit-led, not laminated.
